Finally got a day with no rain, and a little bit of blue skies peeking through. Days like this with big billowing clouds are actually my favorite for taking pictures. I love when I can capture the brilliant blue of the sky, and still have nice soft light on my subject.
And I couldn’t leave out the solo photo of Brutus. He was by far the biggest dog I’ve ever photographed but was just a big sweetheart.
This little gal is just too cute. We also got to capture a 4 generation photo which was fun.
Word of the week is Spring. I thought this was a fitting image. Meet my 3 new babies. Lemonhead, Peepsylvania, & RoadRunner. (named by my boys)
So I’ve decided to jump on the photography bandwagon, and start posting 1 image per week to go along with a predetermined word that Amy and I have agreed on. This week our word was motherhood, and there could be just about as many different ways to capture what that looks like as there are stars in the sky. But for me this week, this was an image that really spoke to me personally. There is a very powerful story behind it for me, and this mama, but as I don’t have permission to share that I’ll keep it to myself for the moment. But oh, this one melts my heart.
Love this little guy with his olive skin and olive eyes. I was there the day he was born, and he just keeps getting cuter all the time.
This session was a blast! This was one of Amy and I’s truly styled sessions, and I am loving the results. And as an added bonus, it’s so much fun getting to go to work and hang out with your best friend! We went to one of the little traveling carnivals for this session, and I think the family had a great time as well as capturing some great photos. We will be shooting at the Clark county fair in July which will have a similar feel if you are drooling over these as much as I am. I just got our family pictures done and I still would love to go and do more at the fair!
My Dear Friend Tara is in the middle of moving to a really great house. Last weekend I popped in on one of her studio sessions and did a few shots of these adorable girls with her, I have 4 girls myself so I have a special soft spot in my heart for these very sweet girls, They made such perfect little models. Thanks Tara for letting me stop in I can’t wait to see your amazing shots of these little sweethearts.
