Glowing

I guess this is what they mean when they tell a pregnant woman she is glowing! This session was so much fun! We trekked through brush, climbed a fence, and sunk in some mud, but I think the results were well worth it! Thanks for being such a good sport S!

Baby Boom Part 3

Also I just had to add that out of the 4 newborns I’ve photographed in the last 2 weeks, 3 of them have been over 9 lbs! Love the chubb!

Baby Boom Part 2

Here’s 1 of the 4 newborns I’ve photographed in the last 2 weeks. I just want to kiss her squishy little face!

Wash Day Part 3

These two were such good sports, and were up for anything we suggested during this photo shoot (even laying on her back while 9 months pregnant!) I am so excited to be able to capture them as they are awaiting the arrival of their little boy. I photographed their wedding last summer, and it’s fun to see them already moving on to adding a little one to the mix!

Beach Giveaway!

I love the beach. Every time I shoot there it brings out the kid in me, and in my subjects. Everyone relaxes just a bit more as the play in the water and feel the wet sand between their toes. So I have decided to make it an annual event to go and photograph my clients in this beautiful wonderland that we are lucky enough to live so close to. If your family loves the beach, then this is the chance for photos that are FUN!!

September 17th and 18th I will be scheduling photo sessions at the Oregon Coast. I will be shooting at Oswald West State Park. I have times available on Friday evening at 5:30 and 6:30. I also have the following time slots open on Saturday, 9:00 AM, 10:00, 3:00, 4:30. I will also be bringing some amazing props and items to make these sessions that much more fantastic.

I will be offering a free session fee ($75 value) to one lucky guy or gal who enters this drawing in the following way.

1. Put a link back to my blog on your Blog or your Facebook page.

2. E-mail a link to this post to your e-mail address book to share this cool giveaway with your friends and family.

3. Comment at the bottom of this blog entry with your name, and who you would bring with you to your beach session!

Here are some links for ideas for adorable clothing options that would really make your portraits extra special.

(Just have to put a HUGE apology here. A client just e-mailed to let me know that the first link I put up for chasing fireflies without the dash between the two words, takes you to a rather naughty site which is definitely NOT what I'm going for for the beach sessions! I'm still beet red with embarrasment here. Won't make that mistake again. I have fixed the link now though).

Clothing for beach sessions sh

ould be light and airy. I prefer light colors, like whites, pinks, blues ect. Or another great option would be to do a more sailor themed feel with navy blue and white.

Color Calibration

Yeah, it’s very important. After I got my new computer I started proofing right away to try and catch up on all my work. I had loaned my Calibration kit to my friend Amy, so it wasn’t convenient to get it, and I just thought that color was looking ok. Then Amy kept calling me and telling me that the photos that I posted online of her girls were way too yellow, and just really off in color. So 2 days ago I finally went and got my calibrator, and WOAH!! My color looked so bad! I was really appalled by how bad it looked. So now that I have everything fixed up I thought I’d just let you all know that I now realize that the color wasn’t looking so good, but things are better now! Here is a side by side of what things were looking like before, and what the same image looks like now that I can actually see what the color really looks like.

Ahhh, much less yellow!
